Her award-winning novel, Drowned Town, tells a fictional story of friendship and family to explore the real-life multigenerational impact caused by the creation of western Kentucky’s Land Between the Lakes. Waldrop is a prolific writer whose works range from novels to poetry and even a forthcoming children’s picture book biography.

Join author Suzanne Craig Robertson and a special guest to discuss her families’ fifteen-year friendship with Cecil Johnson, a Death Row inmate with whom they forged trust and compassion despite the difficult circumstances. Robertson was editor of the Tennessee Bar Journal for more than thirty years, covering stories at the intersection of law and society.
